What eventually “unmake” us are the excuses that we “make”. Nobody can unmake you until you make excuses that give them permission to unmake you – Femi Adediran, June 2021.

Every man, regardless of colour or race, background or origin is capable of greatness until we find excuses to stay small – Femi Adediran, June 2021.

When we point accusing fingers at others, we have only given them the right to decide our fate – Femi Adediran, June 2021.

Be careful of the excuses you make because they may be your exit point from greatness – Femi Adediran, June 2021

The Easiest thing to do, is to find excuses, simply because excuses are everywhere! One of the biggest act of bravery is to accept responsibility even when you are not responsible. We will never find the solution we need as long as we think others are the problem, pointing accusing fingers. We will make mistakes no doubt but whether our mistakes will either make or break us depends on whether we make our mistakes our excuses or our reasons to get better or bitter

To always think that others are the problems makes us grossly irresponsible. When we make excuses, the excuses we make eventually unmake us. Excuses paralyze the mind, cripple the Spirit, and make numb the body. Until we stop pointing accusing fingers, we may never be pointed in the right direction. To become responsible, accept responsibility. The fight to win is with you and nobody else. When we point accusing fingers at others, we have only given them the right to decide our fate. Even where “you are not responsible”, taking responsibility to position you for winning. Jesus had to take responsibility for Judas’ betrayal so He could win…”What you have to do, do quickly”. That was what Jesus told Judas.

When you are beaten, dont become shy, make it your reason to find your confidence. Losers are accusers and accusers are always losers. Every “beaten” we have received would either make or us better or bitter. The difference in what we got is in whether we make excuses or unmake them. Every man, regardless of colour or race, background or origin is capable of greatness until we find excuses to stay small. What eventually “unmake” us are the excuses that we “make”. Nobody can unmake you until you make excuses that gives them permission to unmake you. Be careful of the excuses you make because they may be your exit point from greatness

  • When you are tempted to point accusing fingers, tell yourself: “The finger is mine and all that comes with it. I take responsibility”.
  • When you stop making excuses, you will find it easier to find “your own way”.

In reality, those who hurt us have truly helped us if we don’t make it an excuse for non-performance. Hatred for you is not a reason for you to stop loving others. It’s a prompt to make you see reasons to be more loving and more caring.
