We became lost in transit not because the road  is so “bad” but because of so much noise all around – Femi Adediran, 2020

He who is selfless enough to hear others out is fit to be called A Friend. Counseling is not just about advising others, it is about the patience to listen to both the spoken and the unspoken words of the burdened. Only listeners are qualified to be counselors. People don’t need so much advice but a listening ear that unburdens a heavy heart

Listening is a virtue so admirable, unfortunately not many are so virtuous. It’s a talking generation, the very reason we lack direction. If we would all at least take time to listen, we can easily find our way. We became lost in transit not because the road  is so “bad” but because of so much noise all around. If we can cultivate the listening virtues, we can save many seemingly hopeless lives. It is more blessed to listen than talking. Even the holy writ says only fool utter all his mind.

To be a great “Talker”, you must be a great listener. People don’t care about how well you can talk until they know how well you can listen. When you listen, it’s a sign that you care. There are too many broken homes today because everyone is talking and no one is listening. Listening is a sign of maturity. Don’t become so engrossed with yourself that you “fail” to listen to others. Those who cannot listen should not get married. If parents would learn to listen to their children, we would have a lot less dysfunctional children.

  • If you want to be well informed, Listen.
  • If you want to be powerful, Listen
  • If you want to be great, Listen
  • If you want to Succeed, Listen
  • If you want to have friends, Listen
  • If you want to live long, Listen
  • If you want to conquer, Listen

Listening is a test of your patience and if you pass the test, you can easily pass almost any other test
