Absent-Mindedly… Cooking with No Fire!

-A True life story

It’s not enough to desire results; you must participate in the process. So today, pause and ask yourself: What part of my life is sitting cold, waiting for me to ignite it?

You can be in the right place with the right tools and still make no progress if your fire is off.

Absentmindedness is not just forgetfulness; it is a silent thief of destiny

We go through the motions, yet we’re not really present. We say we want a thriving marriage, but we forget to show up with love. We say we want growth in our careers, but we don’t invest in learning. We want healthy families, but we don’t fan the flame of intentional connection

Life will not boil simply because you’ve placed yourself on the stove; it will only respond to the heat of your attention

How many dreams have sat on the cooker of potential, never boiling, never progressing, because we didn’t turn on the fire?

It’s time to wake up, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Your presence is the flame your life needs. Wherever you are, be all there because partial presence is total absence

Be intentional with your time, your energy, your decisions. Destiny demands ignition; nothing great happens accidentally

Success is not just in starting, it is in the heat you sustain

Don’t let your life become a kettle that never boils, ignite it with purpose, and watch everything change

A few mornings ago, I had one mission, make a hot cup of Lipton. I dashed into the kitchen, filled the kettle, placed it on the electric cooker, and then hurried back to my desk to resume work.

After thirty long minutes, I realized something was off, no boiling sound, no steam, no tea. I returned to the kitchen, only to find that I had done everything… except one thing: I never turned on the cooker!

In that moment, the kettle was me, and perhaps, you. We’ve placed ourselves in position, surrounded ourselves with all the right things, even taken action, but forgot to turn on the fire.

You can be in the right place with the right tools and still make no progress if your fire is off

That incident humbled me. It echoed a truth many of us live daily, we go through the motions, yet we’re not really present. We say we want a thriving marriage, but we forget to show up with love. We say we want growth in our careers, but we don’t invest in learning. We want healthy families, but we don’t fan the flame of intentional connection. “Life will not boil simply because you’ve placed yourself on the stove; it will only respond to the heat of your attention.

Whether it’s your marriage, career, faith, or family, don’t just place it on the stove, turn on the fire.

It’s not enough to desire results; you must participate in the process.” So today, pause and ask yourself: What part of my life is sitting cold, waiting for me to ignite it?

Success is not just in starting, it is in the heat you sustain.

And most importantly, remember this:

Don’t let your life become a kettle that never boils, ignite it with purpose, and watch everything change
