As much as i wont encourage you to keep your challenges to yourself, do not make your challenges your song. When a man’s challenge becomes his song, he would eventually become an unsung hero.
It is natural to always want to talk about what you’re going through but you must make a conscious effort not to make a habit of it because people mostly will remember you for things you talk about the most. Do not make your challenges your identity.
When you are preoccupied with your challenges, it becomes difficult to be of relevance in life matters and opportunities will continue to elude you. The grass is not greener anywhere, we all must learn to cultivate our own garden and dress our own field. More often than not we think, others will help us solve our problems, perhaps they do sometimes, but in the real and final analysis, you are the one that will provide the solution that you need. Take it or leave it, no one is caring enough to give your problem their 100% attention, not even your parent or Pastor. They have their own lives to live and their own issues to iron out too
We all are not as “good looking” as we appear, we have only summoned the courage to stand up and show up. The one reason why people would avoid your calls or not visit with you or let you visit with them is probably that you always have one thing or the other to “whine” about. Look, even people with “a world of problems” do not like “problematic people” like them. Nobody wants a resemblance with a loathsomeness.
For once, in a long time, never mention anything about your challenges for a 7days week. Be deliberate not to complain about anything. “Pretend” and speak like you got it all together. Practice a “challenge-free life” and it will soon become your lifestyle. Because you are becoming what you are acting. Practice, they say, makes perfect. Ask after people’s welfare out of genuine concern. The result will be amazing in your life. You will find solutions to your problems and be happier. The less we “whine” the more we “dine”. The easiest way to get help is to be of help as much as you can in your own “little” or “big” way. The little offer of help from you could be a world of breakthrough to the receiver so don’t think you got anything to offer. Be an asset, not a liability!
