The most fragile and yet most productive seed in the hand of any man or woman is the child. We do not talk about the fruit of marriage simply because we have the capacity to have sex and reproduce but because of our “innate” capacity to plant a child as a seed, water the seed (the child), and nurture the seed (the child) to fruition. It is not every seed that eventually become a fruit. Many seed have died under the ground without making it to become a fruit. So that you have children does not mean you are fruitful. A fruitful marriage is that where the seed of children in the hands of the parents had been properly nurtured to fruition. It is a big mystery to know that to a larger extent the outcome of the destiny of a child is largely in what the parent does about the seed(the child) in their hands.
The barren is not only the woman who does not have the capacity to reproduce physically but also any woman who fails in her capacity to properly nurture the child seed in her hands to fruition. Every child is an unfolding mystery, it is the SACRED responsibility of every parent to unravel the mystery of their children. Mysteries are not unraveled by chance but deliberate conscious effort to know and to explore. This is what good parenting is all about, mystery exploration.
